Manyana Dusky Rose is our first foal with the Manyana prefix and she is a stunner.
"Dusky" is 3/4 Morgan. Her sire is the exceptional Morgan stallion Ranch Boss Cortez and her dam is the divine Red Bluff Opal (Marvelous Encore x Rockview Liberty Belle).

We have owned Red Bluff Opal since she was 3. Opal is my riding mare, school horse for beginners and nervous riders and prior to foaling wa training medium level dressage with Helena Shanal www.successfulstrides.net She has competed in open classes at shows in hack, and hunter classes as well as english pleasure classes and also has been awarded champion part bred morgan mare whenever attending rural and royal shows alike.
Dusky is 17months old (dob 15/08/10) and has colour tested as smokey black (she carries the cream gene).
Dusky was awarded Reserve Champion partbred female (all ages) at the 2011 National Morgan Show held in Toowoomba QLD. She was 7 months old at the time!
We have only used Parelli methods with her development since her birth. She is confident in her natural environment without being dominant. She's friendly, eager to be part of the day's activities and loves hanging out with her human friends. She loves to learn. She presents as an RBI during her learning phases until she gets the idea, then she is quite a centred, mellow LBE.
Dusky has taken on her Parents' temperament and conformation and it's hard to find fault with either.
Ideally we would to see her placed with a Parelli family for her new home, however she may choose someone who's interested in the emotional as well as the physical wellbeing of their equine partners. She definitely wants to be in a partnership. She wants to excel at whatever she does - whether it be campdrafting or dressage or trail rides or tricks - she'll take them in her stride and give you everything provided she's given the time and opportunity to understand what her task at hand is.
Dusky is athletic, nimble and very aware of her surrounds. I've never seen her stumble.
We would expect her to reach 15h - 15.2 hands.
She is well rounded in her early education - stands for trimming, grooming, washing, leads, floats, rugs, ties up, yields to pressure, plays squeeze games without concern. She has never had a set back with her development to date. She continues to enchant and amuse us with her charm and inquisitve nature.
